time to get her out the kitchen... these boys are completely weaned...
no more milk from momma...

5 Weeks old 9/9/09:
Quiet Dale... I'm in charge,
I'm the Big Brother.....
Big brother... yeah right,
I'll show him size does not matter....

2 seconds later... The Boys
and their balls...
The boys outgrew the kiddie
pool, they kept jumping out. They have moved to their weaning box/playpen
area... Soon the area will be expanded, for now they have just a little
"floor" room in front of the crate to make sure they know the box is to
use the bathroom in,... Once they get the point not to go to the bathroom
on the floor the area is expanded... (Those are weights on top of the crate,
gotta make sure they don't push it out the way lol... puppies are mischievous....
They jump in and out...so far
so good, smart babies...
4 Weeks old 9/1/09:
These kiddie pools is their
temporary home while being weaned from mom, they spend a few hours there,
a few hours with mom, etc... We try not to use newspapers on white babies
due to the ink... This kind of very absorbent bedding keeps the puppies
smelling nice and fresh, but most importantly PEE and POOP FREE, works
800x better than newspaper or pee pads with multiple puppies, which we
love lol. We put a little house for them to sleep in, lots of toys and
they are happy and spoiled and CLEAN!!!

in her set up:
The babies and mom are usually
set up in our Master Bathroom, but we set her up in our spare room. Being
that she is not a 1st time momma, we need our bathroom space for a soon
to be 1st time momma. Our puppies do not step foot outdoors and are not
taken outdoors for any reason before they are vaccinated and protected,
they are raised in our home and I am with them 100 times a day including
taking naps with them on the comfy bed :-). As you see Mom has her water
bowl, a dry "Innova" puppy kibble filled bowl at all times along with her
yummy wet food/homecooked meals of meat and rice, organic eggs from our
hens and whatever else we feel like spoiling her with (hence the Evo Treat
Bag on the nightstand lol)...

4 Days old 8/8/09:

hours after they were born 8/4/09:
Momma
in the car with belly full of babies and a few hours later with nursing
babies. Because the Vet is far we stop to let the babies nurse on the way
home on a warm towel with the heated snuggle pad. It was 90 degrees+ outside
anyway but just in case :-)
