it... they were sleepy lol...

The babies 1st real meal... very messy,
but they are just 3 weeks so it's a learning process....
Here they are getting ready to eat... nice and

that don't know puppies this young shiver after they eat so they must be
warm)

After a quick baby wipe bath, the babies are now
warming up on their microwaved rice socks and snuggle pads...
The babies have graduated to momma's nursing box
in our bathroom... Draft free zone for sure lol....

and is on his belly now...

This is my "homemade feeder" ... which consists
of a towel and trustworthy duct-tape lol... Hey it's not fool proof, but
it helps sooth the babies while I hold one... I sometimes do 2 at a time
with a bottle in each hand and put 2 on the feeder. I just placed all 4
like this for the photo, if it was only this easy... they let go, the bottles
move, but hey it helps cause as soon as the babies smell me they go nuts,
so I had to invent something to soothe them while I hold one... so far
so good :)

Mom and her Newborns at home
next afternoon 12/31/09:
This was about 16 hours after the babies were
born and mom was quite tired here... It had been a long previous night
and long day for her... Labor, Surgery, long car rides, new puppies...
Too bad her milk did not come down for over a week, she is a wonderful
and loving mother.....

Momma in the car nursing babies. Because the
Vet is 2½ hours from the house we stop to let the babies nurse on
the way home...

at the Vet at 8:15pm about 10 minutes after they were born, you can
see they are still kinda wet....
